AI · Build Log

I built an AI that designs a complete website in minutes.

Give it a short brand brief — a name, what you do, a tone. It comes back with a finished, original, multi-page website: the layout, the words, and every image generated fresh for that brand. No templates. Nothing copied. Just a real site you could launch the same afternoon.

The AI-generated homepage produced from a one-line brief for a fictional studio, Northpeak.

The problem I wanted to solve

Getting a good website is still slow and expensive. Agencies take weeks and charge thousands; DIY builders hand you the same tired templates everyone else is using. Either way, small businesses end up looking like everyone else — or waiting far too long to look like anything at all.

I wanted to see how far modern AI could close that gap: could a system take nothing but a brand brief and return something genuinely original and ready to ship? Not a filled-in template — a site designed from scratch for that specific brand.

What it cost and how long it took: about 4 minutes of generation, end to end. An equivalent agency build typically runs $2–5k and takes 2–4 weeks.

What it actually produces

And it doesn't stop at a homepage. From the same brief it builds a full, connected site — here are the About, Services, and Contact pages it generated, all sharing one consistent identity:

How it feels to use

  1. Describe the brandName, what it does, the tone you want, a colour. A minute of typing.
  2. Let it design & generateThe AI plans the content, creates the visuals, and composes every page.
  3. Review & launchPreview it live, ask for a fresh variation, then take the finished site and publish it anywhere.

I'm keeping the engine under the hood — this post is about what it makes, not how it's wired.

Why this one is different

Most "AI website" tools are template-fillers wearing a new coat — you can feel the sameness. This one designs each site from the ground up, so two different briefs produce two genuinely different sites. Every layout, every line of copy, and every image is generated fresh — so what you launch is distinctive, on-brand, and unmistakably your own.

One honest caveat: generated copy still gets a human review pass before anything launches — the AI gets it most of the way there, not all of it. It's the same philosophy as the sales agent that runs live on this site: build the real thing, not the demo.

It's the difference between "pick a theme" and "here's a site made for you."
